Mary Abbay Gourley
The late Mary Abbay Gourley received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Tulane University and a Masters of Music from the University of Memphis. S he played professionally at Chez Philippe at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis and the Westin, Inter-Continental, Fairmont, and Le Pavillon hotels in New Orleans There, she also performed at times with the Louisiana Philharmonic, the New Orleans Opera and Ballet and for many Broadway Productions. She also taught Orff music in Memphis City Schools and substituted with the Memphis Symphony and Tupelo Symphony. Mary died on March 29, 2007. |
